Art Adventure Time!
In this hands-on studio class, students will explore various art making processes and learn about the masters that used them. Fun with painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture -- including CLAY! Engage your imagination and creativity and enhance your artistic problem solving skills, all while having a great Adventure along the way! Materials fee of $10.00. Code, Make, and Create Are you or do you want to become a maker who creates and codes? Do you like to tinker, design, build and create with your hands? Learn how you can use crazy materials to design, code, make, and create new inventions and projects. Combine coding using Scratch, art, science, and engineering to create your own projects that come to life using the innovation kit, Makey Makey, circuits, LED lights, and more! This class will bring out the coder and maker in you! Materials fee of $10.00. Mission: BreakoutEDU The clock is ticking! you only have an hour before your time expires! Learners will work together, relying on each other's strengths, creativity, and teamwork to successfully break out! After experiencing several breakout missions, learners will have the opportunity to create their own mission! Through the creative process, they will experience technology, graphic design, word puzzles and games, creative writing, coding, and much more! Finally, we will put our missions to the test! Are you ready to breakout! Duct Tape to the Rescue! Imagine you are on a deserted island and the only material you have is duct tape! Whey you join this class you will learn why duct tape was invented and how it can be used in ways you never expected! Savvy Scientists & Eccentric Engineers!
Come join the fun of using the scientific process to learn about exciting science concepts and answer puzzling engineering questions! Some questions we will answer in our investigations are: What properties make up slime and oobleck? How could you engineer a parachute to keep an egg from cracking? How can we combine ingredients to make a crystal from scratch? Learn through hands-on investigation about science and engineering concepts that you will want to share with friends and family! Materials fee of $10.00. MineCraft Missions Spend your time mining and crafting all in the comfort of a classroom with Minecraft! Learn the real-life history of the famous computer and video game Minecraft. Discover how to combine materials to make new items and replicate well-known structures to scale! Find out the truth behind the virtual materials and how accurate Minecraft really is! Whether you already love playing Minecraft or are just beginning your experience, this class will enrich your journey! Lights, Camera, Action: Make Your Own Movie! Ready to be a movie star or a super-cool writer? In this fun class, you'll get to write, act, and even help create your very own script! First, we'll learn to read scripts like pros, and then you'll get to write your own story. You'll pick out awesome costumes, perform with your friends, and even a make a movie or do a live show for everyone! It's your chance to be the director, the writer, and the actor all in one!
